The 50-50-50 Virtual Challenge, created through the FitRankings app, encourages runners in the U.S. to walk, jog or run 50 miles in 50 days in honor of the 50th Running of the AJC Peachtree Road Race on July 4, 2019.



Bengaluru, India, 17 May: The women’s race at the TCS World 10K Bengaluru 2019 on Sunday (May 19) will bring together two of the world’s leading distance runners who will be using the IAAF Gold Label Road Race as a vital part of their preparations for the IAAF World Championships Doha 2019.

Organisers of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon have announced that past champions Mo Farah and Galen Rupp will compete at the IAAF Gold Label road race on 13 October while USA’s Jordan Hasay will feature in the women’s field.



Seven months after he destroyed the world record, Eliud Kipchoge cemented his status as the greatest marathon runner of all time on Sunday (28) by clocking the second-fastest time in history and becoming the first man to achieve a quartet of victories at the Virgin Money London Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label race.

In one of the most exciting finishes in Boston Marathon history, three men took the famous turn on Hereford Street in tandem, setting the stage for a memorable sprint down Boylston Street. The 123rd Boston Marathon would turn out to be a kicker’s classic, as Kenya’s Lawrence Cherono edged Ethiopia’s Lelisa Desisa by two seconds at the line, 2:07:57 to 2:07:59, using every ounce of energy to break the tape. Kenneth Kipkemoi finished third in 2:08:07.



Last Sunday, Ed Cheserek, to the delight of his fans and of his sponsor, Skechers, took the win in Carlsbad. His time of 13:29 was a WR equalling event, as the IAAF began recognizing road WRs in 2019.



The BAA Invite Mile has become an institution in Boston. On Boston Saturday, the Invite Mile is part of the Boston Marathon Weekend. It has become a big fan favorite. The BAA 5K has developed into a key event of the BAA Boston Marathon weekend. The event had 8,484 runners competing in the Back Bay of Boston, held on Saturday morning before the Boston marathon. The elite race features some of the finest American, Ethiopian and Kenyan athletes at the distance, and gets Boston Saturday started.
