SHANGHAI (CHN): World Indoor champion Christian Coleman will make his Diamond League debut in Shanghai onwhen he goes head-to-head with defending champion Su Bingtian in a 100m showdown that’s sure to be one of the highlights of a star-studded evening of world-class athletics. Also running World champion Justin Gatlin. Canada’s Olympic bronze medallist, Andre de Grasse, will also be in the mix with British relay World champion Chijindu Ujah. In the 100 m also world 200m champion, Ramil Guliyev from Turkey and Japanese record holder Yoshihide Kiryu – two more sub-10 men. The women’s 200m line-up is no less impressive with two-time world champion Dafne Schippers making her Shanghai debut against Jamaica’s double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson. Also sprinting will be Marie Josee Ta Lou and Commonwealth gold medalist Shaunae Miller-Uibo with US Kimberlyn Duncan and Deejah Steven with Kyra Jefferson. Mujinga Kambundji of Switzerland and top local runner Wei Yongli are completing the field.

Olympic winners at Drake
DES MOINES (USA): Several Olympic champions are set to be in action among a stellar cast at the Drake Relays, which gets under way with the multi-events today. Following recent huge throws, world indoor champion Tom Walsh takes on Olympic champion Ryan Crouser, Tom Walsh, Ryan Whiting and Darrell Hill in shot put. The 100m hurdles is among the top events, starring world record-holder Kendra Harrison as she faces Jasmin Stowers, Dawn Harper-Nelson, Kori Carter, Kristi Castlin and Dawn Harper-Nelson. The 400m hurdles sees Olympic champion Dalilah Muhammad against Ashley Spencer and Georganne Moline. A top women’s pole vault includes Olympic silver medallist Sandi Morris, Katie Nageotte, Alysha Newman and Anicka Newell, while Sam Kendricks and Shawn Barber go in the men’s event. De Grasse is ready
DES MOINES (USA): Treble Olympic sprint medallist Andre de Grasse has declared himself “100 per cent” fit after suffering a grade-2 hamstring strain on the eve of the World Championships in London, informs CBC. "I'm 100 per cent. Right now, it's just about working the rust off, whether it's in my warmup or just trying to get back into race mode and be competitive. That's probably my only issue,” he said. De Grasse last raced on 16 July over 200m in Rabat and he will make his comeback over 100m at the Drake Relays in Des Moines.
