2019 Carlsbad 5000 Registration is Open!

The Carlsbad 5000 is one of the iconic races that only could be held on the West Coast. This race has had a history of fast racers and fine runners, and large fields. The challenges to the race have been the new ownership in the past year, which did not give the event the promotion that it deserved. Athletes such as Meseret Defar and Tirunesh Dibaba have run world records and world best times on the streets of Carlsbad.



Des Linden has been busy all summer and fall. And, it has not stopped. This last weekend, Desi was in San Antonio, Texas, for one of her sponsors, Rock 'n Roll series. At San Antonio, Des was running the half marathon with two of her biggest fans, who won a contest put together by the race series.



Kara Goucher is a two time Olympian and World Championship Silver medalist at 10,000 meters. In 2008 and 2012, Kara ran on Olympic teams, and did so well. In 2016, Kara Goucher came oh so close to making the Olympic team, finishing a difficult 4th place.

Joshua Cheptegei runs world record 15K

Joshua Cheptegei won the 2018 NN Seven Hills Race in a new world record of 41.05 taking 8 seconds of the previous world record.



PHILADELPHIA, Pa. / TAMPA, Fla. (August 23, 2018) – The 2018 Rock ‘n’ Roll® Philadelphia Half Marathon will once again include a world-class group of elite men and women when they toe the line on September 15-16. With the depth of the elite field, the half marathon, which will take place on September 16, is set to be one of the most thrilling races of the year, taking runners along the flat and fast course that starts on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, runs through Center City before winding along the city’s scenic Schuylkill River and finishing at the iconic “Rocky Steps” of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
