Atlanta, November 22, 2012 – Over 12,800 runners and walkers kicked off Thanksgiving morning at the 2012 Atlanta Half Marathon events on Thursday, November 22, making it one of the largest participant fields in the event’s history.  Along with the Atlanta Half Marathon, the Thanksgiving Day event featured the Thanksgiving Day 5K, the Mashed Potato Mile for children ages 7 to 12 and the Gravy Gallop for kids ages 6 and under.

Women’s Half Marathon Weathers Windy St. Pete

Nearly 5,000 women participate in half-marathon and 5K - ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (Nov. 18, 2012) – Thousands of women gathered for the Lady Speed Stick® Women’s Half Marathon and Women’s Running Magazine 5K on Sunday, Nov. 18. The windy 13.1-mile and 5K race started and finished downtown in Albert Whitted Park. Florida residents stole the spotlight, with Lauren Lumley from Sarasota crossing the 5K finish line first in 19 minutes, 44 seconds and Loni Smith from Lakeland placing first in the half marathon in 1:24:20.

Alexis Y Fido headline finish line concert on the Sand in South Beach - MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – (November 18, 2012) – The sands and the sounds of South Beach made for an exhilarating finish line as thousands of runners took part in the St. Jude Latin Music Miami Beach Half Marathon. The race started on iconic Ocean Drive and finished on the sand in Lummus Park, with live bands entertaining runners every mile of the scenic 13.1-mile course.

A husband-wife duo took top honors at the Big Sur Half Marathon on Monterey Bay today on the Monterey Peninsula.  Arizonans Ben Bruce and his wife of only two weeks, Stephanie Rothstein-Bruce, packed a one-two punch to beat out a strong elite field under sunny skies and near perfect running conditions.  Among the last elites to register just one month ago, the Bruce’s were the first to finish their respective divisions.  Ben won the men's race in 1:04:45 and Stephanie won the women's race in 1:12:19.

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (November 5, 2012) - Elite and recreational runners and walkers will be able to experience the beauty of Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Blvd and Fort Lauderdale Beach in a new way November 11 when the Fifth Annual Allstate Life InsuranceSM Fort Lauderdale 13.1 Marathon® returns to the streets with a new name, a new scenic race course and newly added relay and corporate divisions.
