The inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll San Francisco Half Marathon is set for Sunday, April 7, 2013, rebranding the US Half Marathon 2 “The Other Half”, which has been held each spring since 2010. Keyna’s Julius Bor (29:54) living in Erie, Pennsylvania held off Kent’s Aiman Scullian (29:57) to win the top prize money in the 38th annual Peace Race 10K. North Canton’s Luke Grau (30:03) finished a close third. Canton’s Ryann Kienzle (30:13), Kent’s Andrew Carnes (30:22), Peninsula’s Andy Morgan (30:46) and Wheeling’s Dustin Hall (30:49) rounded out the top seven.

Dathan Ritzenhein had a superb end to 2012: he placed ninth with a two minute, five second PB at the Bank of America Chicago marathon. Dathan ran 2:07.47, running a very calculated race, showing him and his coach, Alberto Salazar, that the marathon is a place for Ritz to put some focus.
Leonard Komon and Anna Hahner took the ASICS Grand 10 in Berlin on Sunday. For the Kenyan it was the third win in a row at this race and once again he achieved a world-class time. The 24 year-old clocked 27:46 minutes while Germany’s new distance running hope Anna Hahner ran 33:50.
