Minneapolis/St. Paul – July 26, 2012 – Team USA Minnesota’s Heather Kampf will run the Ryan Shay Mile held for the fifth time in Charlevoix, Michigan, on July 28.  The event honors the memory of Shay, a well-known competitor who ran for Notre Dame and won the 2003 USA Marathon Championship, who died suddenly during the 2008 USA Olympic Marathon Trials.

First across the finish line adjacent to Buckingham Fountain was 24-year-old Daniel Vargas Sanchez from Mexico, who covered the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 4 minutes and 18 seconds, while Karolina Jarzynska, 30, who will run for Poland in the Olympic Marathon, won the women's race in 1:13:04.

Minneapolis/St. Paul – July 21, 2012 – Team USA Minnesota’s Andrew Carlson will run the Wharf to Wharf 6 mile in Santa Cruz, Calif., on July 22.  The 40th annual race, which starts at 8:30 a.m., is a scenic, seaside run with a sold-out field of 15,000.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - Five seconds separated first from the field June 10th at the 34th running of the North Shore Half Marathon. Kenyan Geofrey Terer narrowly defeated Patrick Cheptoek of Uganda in blistering heat to capture his first North Shore 1/2 victory and third overall this year.
