NEW ORLEANS – Preseason national cross country rankings have been released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2012 NCAA Division II season. Adams State’s men and Augustana (S.D.)’s women will begin the year as the No. 1 teams in the land according to association’s ranking committee. Augustana is the national defending women’s champ while men’s defending champ Western State starts the year at No. 2 in the rankings.



Minneapolis/St. Paul – Aug. 31, 2012 – Team USA Minnesota’s Andrew Carlson and Meghan Peyton will be among the competitors at the USA 20k Championships on Labor Day.  The championships are hosted by the 34th Stratton-Faxon New Haven Road Race in New Haven, Conn.

Americans pick up six wins in Zurich

INDIANAPOLIS - With the 2012 track and field season coming to an end, Americans won six events at the Zurich Diamond League meet today in Switzerland. Three U.S. athletes also capped their seasons with overall Diamond League Series titles.



Zürich, Switzerland – Usain Bolt’s 19.66 meeting record in the 200m and Mohammed Aman’s dramatic upset victory over David Rudisha were just a pair of the highlights at the Weltklasse Zurich on Thursday, the first of two Samsung Diamond League finals for 2012.


Zürich, Switzerland – Competing before an energized capacity crowd at Zurich’s main trains station, Valerie Adams and Reese Hoffa won their respective Shot Put competitions tonight while each capturing the 2012 Samsung Diamond Race in the event.
