BARCELONA (ESP, Jul 15): During last day of World Junior Championships it started with discus win for German Anna Ruh 62.38 ahead of shot winner Shanice Craft 60.42 and US Shelbi Vaughan 60.07. Italian Alessia Trost as only one cleared 191 and won the girls high jump over surprise from Seychelles Lissa Labiche 188 (senior NR) and only bronze for Russian favorite Mariya Kuchina (also 188).

US Morgan Snow won the 100 m hurdles in 13.38 against -2.4 wind. Second position for Noemi Zbaren of Switzerland 13.42 and third for Russian Yekaterina Bleskina 13.43. First World Junior leader 2012 of the day came in triple Jump where Pedro Pichardo from Cuba won with 16.79 PB beating Russian Artyom Primak 16.60 and Bahamian Latario Collie-Minns 16.37. Steeple was a Kenyan affair with strong pace from the beginning. Conseslus Kipruto clocked meet record 8:06.10, fourth place in junior all-time lists. Silver medal for Gilbert Kiplangat Kirui 8:19.94 and bronze for Hicham Siqueni from Morocco 8:30.14.

Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon ran excellent 1500 m in another meet record 4:04.96. Silver for Serbian Amela Terzic 4:07.54 senior NR and bronze for Ethiopian Senbere Teferi (17) 4:08.28. Special mention to sixth Mary Cain of USA, her 4:11.01 lifetime best and it is also new US High School record as she is only 16 years old.

Men's 800 m was a great demonstration by Botswana's Nijel Amos in superb meet record 1:43.79. Then Kenyans followed Timothy Kitum 1:44.56 and Edwin Melly (17) 1:44.79 PB. Fourth Wesley Vazquez from Puertorico improved CAC junior mark to 1:45.29. The girls 4x400m was another World Junior leader 2012 for the USA quartet in 3:30.01 with Rucker-Ekpone-Baisden-Spencer. Second place for Jamaica in 3:32.97 and third Russia in 3:36.43.

Also in boys 4x400 m win for USA in 3:03.99 with an excellent line-up Downing-Bailey-Okezie-Hall. Behind them second was Poland in new national junior record 3:05.05 and third another suprise Trinidad and Tobago in 3:06.32.
